1. Certified technicians will stop the airflow in the room and turn off all heating and air conditioning systems. This will ensure that the asbestos fibers cannot circulate through the home. The technicians will also evacuate residents from the testing site.
2. Containment is set up by spreading a plastic sheet of the floor area around the testing site.
3. Technicians will put on their disposable coverall suit, gloves, goggles, and face masks to protect themselves from potential exposure.
4. The technicians will then spray down the asbestos test area with water to dampen the surface. This will help keep fibers from becoming airborne
